FAE Foundation



The acronym FAE also represents the Foundation Pro Performing Arts and Audiovisuals, an organization whose main objective is to work in the promotion, professionalization and wide circulation of theatre and dance, including all other artistic and cultural manifestations that may stimulate the intellectual and educational development in Panama.

The Foundation Pro Performing Arts and Audiovisuals was born in 2006 as an evolution and legal of the International Festival for the Performing Arts, taking up the production of theatre and dance events.

As a complement to the audiovisuals field, FAE and the University Film Experimental Group (GECU in Spanish) organize the Icarus Festival of Panama, an international film festival of Central American cinema that takes place in every country of the region with the support of international cooperation agencies, the business community and state cultural organizations.


Roberto Enrique King
General Producer of the Festival, promoter, cultural journalist. He is Chief of Film Culture of GECU of the University of Panama and was executive producer of the Festival of Devils and Congos of Portobelo for three editions. He is a member of the Network of Cultural Promoters of Latin America and The Carrebean (www.redlatinoamericana.com), Secretary of the Theatre Workers` Association of Panama. Mr.King is also the current President of the FAE Foundation.

Natalie Medina
Actress, educator, cultural promoter and NGO advisor, with 15 years` experience in the design and realization of social, community and cultural projects. She has a BA in Theatre and Stage Communications with a specialty in Cultural Promotion and Pedagogy from the Catholic University of Chile. She is certified by the International Institute of Restorative Practices and graduated from the Program of Direction and Promotion of NGOs, ESADE Business School, Spain. Ms. Medina is the Secretary for the FAE Foundation.

Jorge Conte
He holds an MBA which includes businesses in the electronic fields. He is a professional in communications, marketing and advertising and a specialist in Environmental Social Responsibility. He has worked in Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Spain, the United States and Chile, among many other countries concerning subjects related to ecology. He is Founder of the Alliance Zero Contamination and founder and General Director in Ecologic S.A. Mr. Conte is Secretary of the FAE Foundation.
